Shriya: Working with Puri was a dream come true!
Shriya Saran is back. She wowed all the audiences opposite Balakrishna in 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' early this year and now she has done another film with him. The 34-year-old actress still oozes sexiness. She talks about working with Puri for the first time and more about ‘Paisa Vasool’. The film releases this Friday (Sep 01, 2017)
Tell us about Paisa Vasool…
I always wanted to work with Puri Jagganadh. He is a cool and relaxed person. He is also very hard working guy. It was a pleasure working with him. Coming to the film it is a total entertainer. The film is an emotional one and funny as well. It was fun to work with entire team.
What does your character do in the film?
I cannot really explain my character in the film. But I play a journalist who is careless and strong. It about her journey and what happens to her. There is a lot of soul and hard work involved here.
The trailer suggests that the film is all about Balayya?
Yes it is a Balayya film. He is pivotal for the movie. But Puri’s films have woman playing something strong. I would not want to elaborate much. I agree that it is a Balayya centric.
You have acted in GPSK, a period film and now Paisa Vasool, an action drama...
Yes, both the films are totally different. The setup, the character the era itself. Two provided two different experiences. Working with Balakrishna is a great experience always. He never gets tired on the sets. His energy levels are amazing.
How do you justify the title 'Paisa Vasool'?
I do not want to justify. It is an interesting title. A commercial entertainer with a very strong story is what I would say.
Your future Projects?
I will be working with a 23-year-old director in a psycho thriller. I am truly excited about this film.
