In one of the house, a robbery takes place and a golden artifact is stolen by a guy who wears mask. The house owner with the help of security cameras finds that the guy is Sunil Varma who is a look-a-like of Bangarraju. Now the owner and his gang are running after Bangarraju. He tells them that he doesn’t know who Sunil Varma is and he doesn’t know about the artifacts, the gang is after him. How does he come out this problem?

Analysis:

Sunil and director Veeru Potla have teamed for “Eedu Gold Ehe”, while the title says the protagonist is golden-hearted person but the proceedings are not. Most of Tollywood comedies rely less on story more on dialogue humor, but in ‘Eedu Gold Ehe’ both are missing. The story that Veeru Potla has written is weary and the narration also goes on expected lines. After decent initial start, the movie loses the steam and it gets to the point only in the penultimate sequences. There is no logic at all but the comedy episodes in a train journey and in a farm house post-interval have really worked out. Other than this, the film offers nothing, perhaps, plenty of skin show by the lead actresses.

Sunil has tried his best to entertain with his comedy. Both heroines have provided enough glamour show. Of other actors, Prudhvi, Shakalaka Shankar and Vennela Kishore have brought some laughs. Jayasudha is wasted in the role of mother. Puneet Issar as main villain and Aravind Krishna are okay. Naresh has played comic negative role.

The film is shot with rich production values. Except for “Geetha Geetha” song, Sagar M Sharma’s music is not at all impressive. Editing is not tight; lot of unnecessary scenes in the first half has killed the interest. Surprisingly, director Veeru Potla has disappointed with his weak writing and lethargic direction. This is his least appealing work. His talent is seen only in the final scenes but by then audiences are exhausted.

Bottom-line: Sunil's 'Eedu Gold Ehe' is a loud comedy film that is aimed mainly for mass-center audiences. Except for one hilarious farm-house episode, the total proceedings don’t cut out much.
